On 7th July 2026, Arjuna Science Pre-University
College, Dharwad, one of the prestigious educational institutions, organised a
formal event at the Daivajna Community Hall. The program was conducted to
extend a warm welcome to the First PUC students of the academic year 2026-27,
to inaugurate sports and cultural activities, and to felicitate students for
their outstanding achievements.
The event commenced with an invocation. The
Principal of the institution, Mr. Santosh Hanchate, formally welcomed the
distinguished guests and dignitaries present on and off the dais and delivered
the introductory address. The Chief Guest of the occasion, Prof. S.M.
Shivaprasad, a distinguished personality development expert, and Professor and
Former Dean at IIT Dharwad, was introduced by the President of the program, Mr.
Shivaram Sulakhe. Dr. Tejaswini Narayanakar, Deputy Director of the
Pre-University Education Department, was introduced by Mr. Suryakant Shet, The
Director of the Institute.
Prof. S.M. Shivaprasad inaugurated the program
by watering a plant, symbolizing growth, care, and prosperity. In his address,
he elaborated on the pivotal role of youth in nation building, the significance
of technology in the modern era, and the importance of effectively utilizing
technological opportunities for personal and professional development. He
encouraged students to strive for excellence and shape their future with
dedication and determination, and to achieve high positions across the world.
Dr. Tejaswini Narayanakar, in her address,
emphasized that while the guidance of teachers plays a crucial role, consistent
efforts and perseverance on the part of students are essential for achieving
success. She also expressed her appreciation for the institution's commitment
to academic excellence.
On this occasion, the official website and logo
of the college were formally unveiled. The invited guests were honored by the
management and dignitaries of the institution. Mr. Santosh Bhat, The Director,
presented a detailed overview of the institution's results and the accomplishments
of the students.
The students who excelled in competitive
examinations such as PUC, CET, and JEE were felicitated during the ceremony.
The formal proceedings were followed by cultural performances presented by the
students.
The event was attended by the members of management, teaching and non-teaching staff, students, and parents. The program was efficiently compered by Ms. Shreya Itagi and Ms. Trisha, while Mr. Sujan Sulakhe delivered the vote of thanks.
